A Pune automation solutions company Genix Automation has come up with a touchless robotic car wash system FourWin,supposedly the first of its kind in the Indian market. This is a significant development in the context of the expanding passenger car service business in India.
This marks our companys entry into the car services business. The car wash business in India has remained largely unorganized. This is results in the lack of proper equipment, material and ends up in wastage of water. The job usually results in damaging the paint and topcoat of expensive vehicles, Hiren Desai,Managing Director,Genix Automation Pvt Ltd said.
There are over 7.7 million cars on Indian roads with 100,000 being added every month giving us enough scope for growth, he said.
FourWin is a touchless system and an automatic carwash machine that does not use any brush and is designed for washing a wide range of small and medium range cars.
The carwash is controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logic Control) and uses high-pressure water, shampoo and wax to carry out a carwash in just three minutes.
The carwash could work on 20 vehicles in an hour. Service charges would vary from Rs 99 to Rs 249 per carwash.
The first carwash system has been installed at the Mumbai Pune Expressway at Khopoli. The carwash systems will be manufactured at the companys Chakan plant near Pune.
In the first year of operations,we are targeting 100 carwash systems, Desai said.
There are plans to bring in systems for bigger vehicles and a couple of products in a similar range, he further added. The company is looking at outright sale and lease systems in addition to revenue sharing models.
Target customers would include car dealerships, large housing societies, petrol stations and highway food malls.
