‘Problems of small,medium scale industries shall be looked into’

Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Wednesday assured that he would take up the issues of small and medium scale industries in the state with the Prime Minister and Union Industries Minister.

Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Wednesday assured that he would take up the issues of small and medium scale industries in the state with the Prime Minister and Union Industries Minister.

Pawar has asked the Maratha Chamber of Commerce,Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) to prepare a proposal in a week regarding issues and probable solutions and send it to him so that he can initiate a meeting. Prominent industrialists like Madhur Bajaj,Mukesh Malhotra of Wakefield,representatives of Tata Motors,Bajaj Auto,Volkswagen,Suresh Mhetre,president of Pimpri-Chinchwad Small Industries Association and some small and medium entrepreneurs from IT and engineering units attended the meeting initiated by the MCCIA.

Pune MP Suresh Kalmadi,Supriya Sule,MLAs Vilas Lande and Laxman Jagtap were also present. Pawar promised the delegation that he would look into the matter and take up the issue with the Central Government as well as the chief minister of the state. “The MCCIA has been asked to make a concrete proposal in this regard that will make a representation of the basic demands of the industry and probable solutions,” said an office bearer of the MCCIA.

The representation demanded that the Central Government should take measures so as to increase the demand in the market by way of reducing interest rates and easy availability of auto loan,housing loan and consumer finance to the customer.
