Post Office passport centres in Pune region will remain open on Saturday, book appointment now
All Post Office Passport Seva Kendras in the region that comprises Pune, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Beed, Dharashiv, Kolhapur, Latur, Nanded, Parbhani, Sangli and Satara districts will function on May 20.

All 17 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSK) in the Pune Region of Maharashtra will remain open on Saturday (May 20) to help the public get a passport at an earlier date. With increasing demand, there is a considerable waiting period for appointment availability.
At the Passport Seva Kendras in Pune, there is an average waiting period of five weeks to book an appointment in the normal quota and a two-week wait for the Tatkal quota.
The Pune Passport Officer has decided to keep open all POPSKs in the region that comprises Pune, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Beed, Dharashiv, Kolhapur, Latur, Nanded, Parbhani, Sangli and Satara districts.
The nearest POPSK for Pune residents is at Pimpri-Chinchwad (opposite Hindustan Antibiotics) where 75 applications are processed daily.
“As part of the Ministry of External Affair’s initiative to make passport appointments available at an earlier date, all Post Office Passport Seva Kendras under the jurisdiction of the Pune Regional Passport Office will remain open on Saturday, May 20. The applicants can book fresh appointments or reschedule their already booked appointments under the normal scheme,” Pune Regional Passport Officer Dr Arjun Deore said.
