NIKS International,a multi-dimensional lifestyle academy,was launched on Thursday amid much fanfare. Nikhil Botre,Irmala Sutterwala and Lovell Prabhu have collaborated to start the academy,which will train students for complete grooming in hair styling and make-up,acting,modeling,dancing,photography and the art of DJing through short-term and long-term courses. “The course will include demonstrations from our team and interactive workshop sessions with renowned personalities from the industry,who will be invited as guest speakers. We want to equip students with the ability and confidence to handle themselves in a professional salon environment,” said Sutterwala,in-charge of the hair and make-up division.

Dance,drama and music will be the order of the day on June 9 at Samagam,the annual cultural extravaganza organised by Lila Poonawalla Foundation. The fundraising event will see performances by Lila Juniors,Lila Girls and Lila Fellows — who will support other girls by giving them the same benefits that they received over the years. The event will be hosted at Nehru Memorial Hall in Camp,from 5pm to 8pm.
