Intesifying its drive against illegal construction in the city,PMC administration Wednesday pulled down a six-storey building in Ghorpadi after vacating the building occupied by 18 families.
The illegal building was in the category of dangerous structure because of poor quality construction. Thus,a notice was slapped in January, PMC press statement said.

The building had 36 apartments and 18 of them were occupied by residents,it said adding,There was opposition from residents to demolish it. The administration with the help of police vacated it before pulling it down. The building was constructed in 3,500 sq feet area,while the FSI was 25,000 sq ft.
