PM likely to inaugurate Metro route till Swargate next week

At a time the Assembly elections are expected to be announced anytime now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to launch his election campaign for the ruling Mahayuti alliance during his two-day visit next week.

According to BJP leader, there will be a public meeting in the city on either day which will be a kind of start of election campaign for Mahayuti as Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of Shiv Sena, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar of NCP and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis of BJP will be present with their party cadre at the function in a show of strength.

The prime minister is also likely to attend Viksit Bharat event in two educational institutes in the city.

The district administration has banned the use of air space in the district for paragliding, hot air baloon safari, drone and microlight airplane on the two days due to security reasons.
