Swatantra Theatre,in association with Lavasa City,presents a street play called Main Amitabh Bachchan Banana Chahta Hoon,directed by Abhijeet Choudhary,on July 6,3.30 pm onwards. The group attempts to bring across the theme through Amitabh Bachchan’s famous dialogues,films and songs along with his style and poses. The storyline revolves around a village boy wanting to come to Mumbai to become Bachchan and rule the world of glamour. However,he faces struggle as Bollywood is not an easy cup of tea. But he follows his idol — Bachchan — throughout his journey,which gives way to more dreams of being on the peak of success one day. “We worked and re-worked on the plot in our improvisational sessions,covering the essential elements of the topic under the guidance of the director,” said one of the actors.
