Led by a team of volunteers of Academic Advisors, students from Fergusson College successfully completed their fifth plastic collection drive recently. This time they collected close to 100 kg of plastic. These students also presented innovative ways to use this plastic that was gathered. Divided into four groups Waste Busters,Eco Buddies,E Friends and Go Greens – the students pledged to use these suggestions in their future waste management programmes. With a rise in awareness about plastic pollution and the need to recycle and re-use this waste, these young students are doing their bit in seting an example for society at large. Like the previous plastic collection drives, this one too saw a good participation from the youngsters.
