Pimpri-Chinchwad diary: Commuters unhappy with risky grade separator

The Superb Welfare Education Society will set up a library in Vithalwadi area of Akurdi for school and college students without any membership fee. Iklas Sayeed,a member of the society,said the objective of starting the library was to wean away youngsters from Internet and TV. “Youngsters are spending hours chatting on the net and watching movies on TV. We want to create awareness among youths,” he said. Sayeed said the library will hold lectures on various issues. “We will organise study tours to places like PCMC headquarters,water purification plant,abattoir,science parks and other places,” he said. The library will run from Arun Arcade with donations from citizens,activists and social organisations.

Corporate meet at DY Patil institute

The Dr D Y Patil Institute of Management Studies organised a corporate symposium at Dhyanprasad Auditorium,Akurdi.
