Physiotherapy is one of the fastest growing fields in allied medical science. Dr Gunesh Bhati,physiotherapist says,”Being a physiotherapist is a skilful job and requires great deal of commitment,as you are dealing with not just the patient’s body,but also their state of mind.” There are many well-paying avenues that one can pursue after a basic degree in physiotherapy like industrial physiotherapy and sports physiotherapy and there are a lot of opportunities in gyms and hospitals. Many well-known institutes in Pune offer a bachelors and masters degree in Physiotherapy.

There are many courses ,apart from engineering,that are technically sound and interesting. Thomas Lal,HOD,DSK Supinfocom says,”Many international automobile companies are setting up studios in India. They want Indian designers who can make cars for Indians consumers.” Courses in product design and automobile design equip students with the necessary skills,like knowledge of various softwares and understanding the psyche of the consumers.

Owing to a greater exposure to the media,people are increasingly becoming aware of their lifestyle and are minding not only their body but also their eating habits. Dieticians and nutritionists often help us to customise our food intake according to our body types. Mayuri Sahstrabuddhe from SNDT says,“I opted for a PG diploma in nutrition and dietetics as I was not keen on studying subjects like mathematics and yet wanted to pursue something to do with health science.” Many like her are opting for courses that allow them to follow their passion for the science without going through a rigorous medical science and engineering courses.
