NSG conducts anti-terror drill on Infosys campus in Hinjewadi

An officer said that NSG as the premier anti terror agency of the central government, conducts drills across various sensitive locations in the country where different scenarios are simulated.  “On Wednesday commandos conducted an anti terror drill on the Hinjewadi Phase 2 campus of Infosys. The exercise comprises multiple sorties conducted by the IAF’s Mi-17 helicopter from Aundh Military station to Infosys campus for the insertion of multiple teams of commandos. The commandos slithered down from the chopped on the multi level parking of Infosys and undertook a simulated operation to neutralise the Red Team, the personnel posing as the adversaries.”

Officials from Pimpri Chinchwad Police said that their deployment for the drill was led by a Deputy Commissioner of Police and assisted by an ACP, five police inspectors, 30 personnel, a team of Riot Control Police (RCP) and one Quick Response Team (QRT).

In December 2023, the NSG had conducted three simultaneous anti terror drills at three sensitive locations in Pune including Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganesh Temple, College of Agriculture and High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
