Now,courses for aspiring football referees,coaches

The Abhijit Kadam Football Development Centre which was founded in a joint venture between Bharati Vidyapeeth,Cheshire-based International Football company Kick Worldwide and The Anfield Club,Liverpool,have announced the launch of their initialcourses.

The Abhijit Kadam Football Development Centre (AKFDC),which was founded in a joint venture between Bharati Vidyapeeth,Cheshire-based International Football company Kick Worldwide and The Anfield Club,Liverpool,have announced the launch of their initialcourses.

The AKFDC will offer an ‘International Refereeing Course and International Coaching Course which will be conducted from April 19 by the English FA.

“Those coaches completing the International Coaching Course at AKFDC will be also allowed to move to England (only within FA jurisdiction),to be considered as competent at the Technical requirements of a Level 1 coach,” said Kuldeep Gaikwad,director,AKFDC.

Those completing the course in India would be recognised as a qualified referee in England and as such will be able to take up the whistle immediately,he said. The syllabus for coaching during the 7-day course will include practical coaching,delivering a range of set games and adaptations linking the basic technical details,theory elements,introduction to coaching principles,long-term player development and so on.

The referee training and the coaches training course for AKFDC will include indoor and outdoor practical and theory sessions,including the use of multimedia equipment.

The above course will have 24 students per batch and has been endorsed by the All India Football Federation (AIFF),said Gaikwad.
