Nine killed,two injured in two accidents

Seven persons were killed and four others injured when a speeding four-wheeler rammed into a parked truck on the roadside near Narayangaon in Parner taluka of Ahmednagar district in the early hours of Saturday.

Seven persons were killed and four others injured when a speeding four-wheeler rammed into a parked truck on the roadside near Narayangaon in Parner taluka of Ahmednagar district in the early hours of Saturday. The deceased,hailing from Buldhana,were on their way to Pune to participate in a Satsang at a gathering of Prajapita Brhamakumaris.

The deceased were Bhagvan Vayal (40),his wife Kalpana (36),Vaishali Baban Jaiswal (55),Nilima Pravin Jaiswal (30),Jarita alias Sumati Pundalik Borkar (60),Prashant Hinge (40),all from Mehkar,Buldhana and Mangalbai Deeplal Baithria (50) of Maravati. The injured included Vinod Sakharam Dolas (36),Sanjay Bhimrao Kurkul (40),Kavita Sanjay Burkul (35),Tejas Pravin Jaiswal (10). According to the Parner police, Vayal was a teacher in a Zilla Parishad school in Buldhana.

Around 5 am,the four-wheeler collided with a truck parked on roadside near Narayangaon. The impact was so severe that seven passengers died on the spot. Those injured were admitted to a hospital in Shirur. Assistant sub-inspector Vikas Somvanshi registered an offence in the case against the drivers of the truck and the four-wheeler.
