Nisargasaad,a monthly magazine dedicated to environment,nature and wildlife was launched in the city by noted biologist S D Mahajan. Speaking on the launch of the monthly Mahajan said,“It is every person’s duty to protect nature and environment. Rapid Industrialisation and Mechanisation have already left a dangerous mark on our nature and it is need of the hour to stop the destruction. Magazines like Nisargasaad can go to the younger generation and change their outlook and make them interested in nature.” The editor and publisher of the magazine Loukik Soman said that it is a small effort on his part to educate public about nature and environment. He added that the bilingual magazine in Marathi and English will also cover topics such as flora fauna,environment,forts in Maharashtra,unknown tourist treks,apart from puzzles and quizzes on nature for all.
