Native Knight wins Southern Command Gold Trophy

Native Knight has won the Southern Command Gold Trophy at the Pune Race Course. The 1600-m race saw Native Knight — ridden by Ladja dj Stephane and trained by Narendra Lagad — coming first,while Star Future and Mr Greedy came in the second and third positions. The Air Strike Plate Division II was won by Scintillating Star. Stylish Strokes and Insite Soul also made it to the podium.

Tote favourite Rain Forest came in second in the Rapier Plate Division II while the race was won by Stuntacular. In the 1800-m Live Legend Plate,tote favourite Persian won the race with Malischka and Sacred Relic coming in second and third positions. Tote favourite Elizabeth won the Field Marshal Sam Maneckshaw Memorial Trophy,with Cape Ferrat and Dear Henry coming in second and third. The Casino Royale Goa WGF September Handicap was won by Bling. Smart Hunter and Spook came in second and third.

The Rapier Plate Division-I saw Rein in Spain,Kerringdingan and Crowned Princess sharing the top three slots. Tote favourite Hottie failed to impress and came in fourth. The 15-horse Acrobat Plate was perhaps the most disappointing race,with tote favourite Skyway coming in 10th. Celestial Call,Marudhara Ratan and Zeki shared the top honours.

The last race of the day for The Air Strike Plate Division -I was also an upset win,with tote favourite Blush finishing fourth. Macho Uno,Victorivanov and Tag Along Tommy shared the top honours.
