CBI which arrested Sanatan Sanstha doctor Virendra Tawade in relation to Dr Narendra Dabholkar murder case, is looking into his activities at various locations where he lived and worked in the past.
As part of its probe into the 2013 murder of anti-superstition activist Dr Narendra Dabholkar, the CBI, which arrested Sanatan Sanstha doctor Virendra Tawade on June 10, is looking into his activities at various locations where he lived and worked in the past.
It is now known that after obtaining his medical degree from Grant Medical College in Mumbai, Tawade practised for worked for various hospitals in Kolhapur for six years. Later, he moved to Satara for a short period.

A CBI officer said, “Tawade is originally from Devgad in Ratnagiri and has stayed in Mumbai, Kolhapur, Satara and later at Panvel Ashram. He has also travelled across Maharashtra. We have information about him speaking at rallies against the anti-superstition movement, Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti and Dr Dabholkar in particular. We will be probing all these leads.”
