Nagpur attack: Ralegan closes down

Protesting against the alleged attack on Anna Hazare’s convoy in Nagpur on Wednesday,social activist’s village Ralegan Siddhi observed a bandh on Thursday.

Protesting against the alleged attack on Anna Hazare’s convoy in Nagpur on Wednesday,social activist’s village Ralegan Siddhi observed a bandh on Thursday.

One of the vehicles in Hazare’s convoy carrying books and publicity material was allegedly attacked by Congress volunteers. Though no one was injured,window panes of the vehicles were reportedly shattered. Nagpur police detained seven of the alleged attackers. Jaisingh Mapari,Ralegan sarpanch,said,“What they have done in Nagpur is unacceptable.” He said on Friday villagers will march to Parner tehsil office to demand action against attackers.”
