Mayor Mohansingh Rajpal on Friday said there was no deadline to reply to the notice served on him for alleged violation of the election code for attending the foundation stone laying ceremony of a flyover in Shivajinagar. He said he could respond to the letter even after the civic polls. I have received a notice,seeking a clarification on alleged violation of the election code for the foundation stone laying ceremony. I may reply to it after polls, Rajpal said. The state election commission has sought a report on the possible violation of election code by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar,NCP legislator Anil Bhosale and Rajpal for attending the foundation stone laying ceremony. The Shiv Sena on Thursday filed the complaint of violation of the model code. The commissioner had directed municipal commissioner Mahesh Pathak to submit a report on the incident so that appropriate action could be taken as per the report.
