Calcutta says,“Bhapa’s are a traditional steamed vegetable or non-vegetarian dish from the heartlands of Bengal. It usually comprises blending the ingredients into a thick batter and then instead of frying or cooking it with heavy spices,it is steamed by placing it in banana leaves. This not only makes the food a much more healthier and nutritious fare, but also retains the distinct individual flavours of the food.”

The menu is an Ala Carte one,and comprises of dishes like the Bhapa Potol (Rs 235),which comprises of steamed pointed gourd, stuffed with a paste of Chenna and a seasoned mustard paste,or the Bhapa Chorchori,(Rs 225),which has an assortment of vegetables cooked with the traditional five Bengali spices called Paanch Phoran.
