The launch of the Courtyard by Marriott Pune’s City Centre on Wednesday was a stylish affair that saw a symphony of Russian gymnasts performing in tandem with musicians playing Indian classical music. Present for the ocassion were Craig Smith,COO and vice president of Marriott International-Asia Pacific and Australia,and Rajeev Menon-area vice president of Marriott International- India,Malaysia,Maldives and Australia. Decorated in contemporary fashion with the hotel’s signature hues of saffron and green along with crimsons and golds,the event saw the owners of the property,Deepak Raheja and his sons Aditya Raheja and Shiv Raheja,officially launch the party for the assembled guests,even as members from the Russian olympic gymnast team- Acro Angels,performed in the background.

Post 91,the multi-cuisine restaurant that is located in Koregaon Park,will soon launch its new spread of British and American breakfasts. The fine dining and buffet section on the ground floor called Mojo Buffet is now in the process of being converted into a sports bar,while the newly launched terrace bistro,Grappa Garden,will now be serving Indian food in addition to a newly spruced up menu featuring unique recipes. A full-fledged American and British breakfast,that consists of muffins,a variety of omlettes,soups and porridge,will be introduced to the menu from August 1.

Inspired by the Cuban theme of venom,vixen and venga,Kue Bar,the newly opened lounge at The Westin Hotel,claims to offer affordable and colourful partying experience. Our concept is urbane,trendy and everything that one aspires to be seen as, says Anurag Bhatnagar,general manager,The Westin. Behind the bar we find Sachin Gowda,the bartender with a Guinness world record,along with other highly trained mixologists,flinging bottles over their shoulders and above their heads,as well as concocting unique beverages expertly. Along with their signature drink Kuebano,the bar recommends the Flaming Venom,Absinthe Fountain,Venga Girls and the Hemingway. DJ Eve Carey from the Ministry of sound,London,as well as DJ Akhtar,DJ Rackish and other renowned DJs will fill in the dance floor all through the month of August.
