Man held for faking as food inspector

“Shetty and his employees were attending on customers at their hotel Arambh on Thursday morning when Singh along with another person walked in posing as a food inspector. He threatened to lodge a complaint against Shetty on the grounds that he was using domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purpose. Shetty told him that commercial cylinders had been sent for replacement because of which a domestic one was being used temporarily,” police said.

Shetty,however,smelt something fishy about Singh and called up police who arrested him. Police said Singh and an accomplice had been been targeting roadside restaurants for the past few days. He apparently duped one Dipak Kasar,who runs a small hotel near the Agriculture College,police said.
