Maharashtra eves defeat Saurashtra by nine wickets

The Maharashtra women’s team defeated the Saurashtra women’s team by nine wickets in the West Zone women’s one day tournament being held at the PYC Gymkhana cricket ground on Wednesday.

Maharashtra won the toss and put the opposition in to bat. Saurashtra onl;y managed to score 97 runs before being bowled out in 46.5 overs. Jayshree Jadeja top scored with 44 runs while for Maharashtra Sonia Dabir was the pick of the bowlers scalping three wickets for 15 runs in 6 overs. K Patil bagged two wickets.

In reply,Maharashtra achieved their target in 15 overs and with nine wickets to spare. Shweta Jadhav top scored with 51 runs of just 46 balls while Snehal Jadhav gave her good support with 31 runs of 35 balls. For Saurashtra,Bhakti Shastri took the only wicket.
