Maharashtra Assembly Polls: Pune seats that have changed hands every time in the last three elections?
Junnar, Khed Alandi, Shirur, Pimpri and Vadgaonsheri were won by the undivided Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in 2009 and 2019.

In 2008, new constituencies drawn up by the Delimitation Commission of India came into force across most states in India. Here’s a look at the Assembly seats in the Pune region that have never voted for the same party twice in a row in the Maharashtra Assembly elections in 2009, 2014 and 2019.
Junnar, Khed Alandi, Shirur, Pimpri and Vadgaonsheri were won by the undivided Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in 2009 and 2019.
However, in the 2014 elections, the seats were won by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), undivided Shiv Sena (SS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Daund was won by Independent candidate Rameshrao Thorat in 2009 while Rahul Kul, contesting on an NCP ticket, was the runner-up. In 2014, Kul won the seat on a Rashtriya Samaj Paksha ticket and in 2019, he won it on a BJP ticket.
The Bhosari seat was won by Independent candidate Vilas Lande in 2009. In 2014, Mahesh Langde rebelled against the NCP after being denied a ticket by the party and won the seat as an Independent. He later joined the BJP and won the seat in 2019 as well. The Hadapsar seat was won by the Shiv Sena in 2009, by the BJP in 2014, and by the NCP in 2019.
Seats like Baramati have been a bastion of the combined NCP, with Ajit Pawar winning it by wide margins in the last three elections. However, this time with a split in the party, Yugendra Pawar from the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) is fighting against Ajit Pawar, setting up the stage for an interesting contest.
