Oscars protocol prevented Christian Bale from catching Melissa Leos acceptance speech on Sunday night.
The actor was locked out of the Kodak Theatre auditorium and refused entry to the theatre,as he returned from a bar break to catch Leos Best Supporting Actress win for the film The Fighter.
Bale missed movie history,when he failed to catch Leos speech,during which she became the first winner to utter the F word on the Oscars stage. He says,I was at the bar with my wife,thinking that it was like the other awards,where you could just enter again,but unfortunately I missed Melissas acceptance speech. I was literally banging on the door yelling Let us in!. I will know better if I am invited to the Academy Awards again. So what if I missed the F-bomb,but Ive laid down many of them myself before,so I think I know what its all about.
