The body of a 32-year-old labourer was found lying in a pool of blood at Ganesh Ghat in Sangvi area around 6.30 am on Tuesday. Identifying the deceased as Nitin Trimbak Ghuge,the Sangvi police said he was allegedly murdered by another labourer.

The police have registered a case and launched a search for suspect Sunil Katre,32,of Old Sangvi. Police said both Katre and Ghuge worked in the same area.

Police said there was a dispute between the duo following which Katre allegedly stoned Ghuge when he was sleeping at the Ghat. Police said Nitin was a resident of Ganganagar but had fled home following a dispute with his family.
