Labourer dies,three others injured in wall collapse

A Labourer was killed and three persons were injured after a ten-foot wall of an under-construction powerhouse of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd at Urse in Maval taluka collapsed on Friday.

A Labourer was killed and three persons were injured after a ten-foot wall of an under-construction powerhouse of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) at Urse in Maval taluka collapsed on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Vinay Das (22),hailing from Bihar. Those injured included Mukesh Das (22),Rakesh Das (21) and Pramod Das (45),also from Bihar. They were admitted to a local hospital for treatment.

According to inspector Sanjay Nikam of Talegaon police station,the labourers were busy in the construction work of a power house of MSEDCL at Urse village. Around 11.30 am,a ten-foot wall at the site collapsed.

The four workers were trapped under the debris. A team of fire fighting professionals of a private company nearby rushed to the spot. The Talegaon police is investigating the case.
