With arguments in the case of German Bakery blast that left 17 dead and several injured ending on Monday,the additional sessions court is expected to pronounce the judgment soon.
Arguing before additional sessions Judge N P Dhote,Special Public Prosecutor Raja Thakre said enough incriminating evidence has been submitted before the court to prove the guilt of the accused,Mirza Himayat Inayat Baig. However,the defense lawyers Advocate A Rahman and Kaynat Shaikh maintained that the prosecution had failed to prove the motive behind the alleged act. There is no evidence against Baig. There is also no legal sanction as required under the law, said Shaikh. Baig has been falsely implicated. He was detained on August 18,2010,from Latur,but was shown arrested in September 2010, said Rahman.
Additional sessions judge N P Dhote will pronounce the judgment after going through the evidence submitted as well as arguments made by both sides. The next date of hearing has been set for March 28.
