IT cricket: Talent Bricks defeat Siemens

Talent bricks defeated Siemens by five wickets to reach the semifinal of the ‘Clash of 24 Inter-IT Cricket Tournament’ organised by the Maharashtra Krida at the Ammunition Factory Ground,Khadki.

Talent Bricks won the toss and put the opposition in. Siemens managed to score 139 runs in their allotted 25 overs. With some good batting performance behind them in previous matches,Siemens was expected to pile on the runs,but failed to do so. They had a bad start and kept losing wickets at periodic intervals. Aniket Kashikar batting at number 6 scored 22 runs while Amit Kulkarni scored 23 to help give the total some respectability. Neeraj Damle contributed well with 26 runs of his own.

Talent Bricks bowlers were helped a great deal by some quality fielding. Ashish Dabholkar saved a considerable amount of runs while Hrishikesh Matsye kept things tight behind the wicket. Aniket Kulkarni was the pick of the bowlers claiming 3 crucial wickets while Ashish Dabholkar gave him good support with 2 wickets of his owneach of the other four bowlers had one wicket to their credit,thus making it a team effort.

Talent Bricks had their work cut out for them. Hrishikesh Matsye batted throughout the innings. His unbeaten knock of 83 helped his team achieve the target with ease.
