IPS officer Sandeep Singh Gill is new Pune Rural SP
As SP of Pune Rural police, Gill replaces Pankaj Deshmukh, who was transferred as DCP to Mumbai Police. Tejaswi Satpute, who till now had been DCP in Mumbai, was transferred as DCP to Pune City.

AMIDST A reshuffle of several police officers in the state by the Home Department, Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Sandeep Sigh Gill, who till now had been Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Pune City, was transferred to Superintendent of Police (SP) with Pune Rural Police.
On Thursday evening, the Home Department notified transfers of 17 IPS and Maharashtra State Police service officers. Gill till now had been posted as DCP of the Zone 1 of Pune City police, which has the majority of the central areas of Pune City under its jurisdiction, which are sensitive from a policing point of view. During his tenure, Gill led the unit during several sensitive law and order situations as well as high profile cases.

Rohidas Pawar, who was earlier DCP with Pune City Police and was later transferred as DCP to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, has been appointed as Additional Superintendent of Police for Railway Police, Pune.
