Students, who are generally burning the midnight lamp at this time of the year, seem to have made time to catch the IPL action. Among them are four engineering students,Aditya Rele,Pranav Rao,Gaurav Patil and Saurabh Date, who met only a week ago. They will be travelling together to Mumbai to cheer their favourite sides.

Aditya Rele is pursuing a course in automobile engineering at TU Tech University of Clausethal,Germany. After learning of the IPL craze from his peers,he made up his mind to watch a game at the stadium. “I was in Germany when the first season began and the second one was held in South Africa. I wanted to attend the third season come what may. I timed my trip in such a way that I could catch at least one of the games,” says Rele. He will now be driving to Mumbai with his friends Gaurav,Pranav and Saurabh to catch the match between the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.

Students apart, families are using IPL to spend some time together. Nikhil Ajinkya,a retired sales director at General Mills, will be taking his son Raunak to watch the Rajasthan Royals in action tomorrow.

“We had saw one of the games in the first season and had a grand time. We can’t wait to watch Shane Warne weave his magic tomorrow,” says Ajinkya.

Adwait Gokhale,a mechanical engineering student at MIT,will be attending his first IPL game on Saturday. He will back the Mumbai Indians.

“I have been a big Mumbai Indians fan right from the start and I missed out on the first season as I was abroad. This time I made sure I would watch,” he says.
