Documentary screening
On the first anniversary of the invasion of Gaza by Israel,Lokayat is organising a screening of the world famous documentary,”To shoot an elephant” directed by Alberto Arce/ Mohammad Rujailah from 5-7 pm on Saturday. It will be followed by a discussion at Lokayat Hall,Opposite Syndicate Bank,Law College Road,Near Nul Stop,Pune. The film is an eyewitness account of the invasion of Gaza strip,a part of Palestine,by Israel which went on for 21 days,beginning on December 27,2008,said a release.

CoEP rally today
THE College of Engineering,Pune (CoEP) has organised a rally on January 16 to disseminate the message of water conservation as a part of the ‘conserve water’ theme for their annual national sports festival- Zest. The rally consists of more than 200 CoEPians march along JM road,FC road and University Road. The rally would be inaugurated by Mayor Mohan Singh Rajpal at 9.30 am.
