Idea Cellular that won the 3G spectrum for 11 circles will be starting the service from Maharashtra and Goa circle,once the spectrum allocation is completed in September. The company which started its service from Maharashtra in 1996 announced on Monday that it has crossed the milestone of one crore subscriber mark in Maharashtra and Goa.

Rajat Mukarji,chief corporate affairs officer,Idea cellular said work is in progress and most likely 3G spectrum would be launched first in Maharashtra as the company stared its operations from here.
