IAF team visits Volkswagen plant

A 17-member delegation from the Indian Air Force based in Pune visited Volkswagen India's Pune plant,which is one of the most modern plants of the Volkswagen Group worldwide.

A 17-member delegation from the Indian Air Force based in Pune visited Volkswagen India’s Pune plant,which is one of the most modern plants of the Volkswagen Group worldwide.

Joerg Mueller,Volkswagen Group Chief Representative India,president and managing director,Volkswagen India Private Limited welcomed the delegation that was led by Air Commodore CS Sohoni (VSM) and Group Captain S Saxena (VSM).

To start the proceedings for the day,Mueller gave a presentation to the delegates on Volkswagen in India and worldwide. Speaking to the delegation Mueller said,”Keeping in mind Indias fast growing economy the Volkswagen Group is banking on it in a big way for growth in the future. We will therefore continue to establish the Volkswagen Group on the Indian market rapidly and will expand its market share significantly. Within the next four to six years we will increase the market share from approximately two percent last year up to eight to ten percent.”

The presentation was followed by a tour of the Volkswagen Plant by Klaus Goern,Chief General Manager,Production,Volkswagen.
