FYJC admission process starts

The registration for the CAP and part 1 of the form was released on May 24. Prior to this students were allowed to fill a mock registration form from May 22 to May 23. The verification of documents is being simultaneously conducted.

With the SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examination results for Class 10 students of Maharashtra state board released on Monday, students can start filling application forms for the first year of junior college (FYJC).

The School Education and Sports Department is conducting the Centralised Admission Process for Class 11. The registration for the CAP and part 1 of the form was released on May 24. Prior to this students were allowed to fill a mock registration form from May 22 to May 23. The verification of documents is being simultaneously conducted.

The administration has now shared information about the schedule for filling part 2 of the CAP form.

In part 2, the students can choose their desired colleges and arrange them in a list according to preference. Admissions based on quotas will take place simultaneously. The quotas are as follows — 50 per cent of the total seats will be reserved for minorities, 10 per cent for in-house students and 5 per cent will be the management quota.

According to the circular released on the official website, students can start filling part 2 of the CAP form in about five days from the release of results.

In 10 to 25 days, the results of round one of the CAP will be announced. Three more rounds will occur with a gap of five to seven days in between. After that, a special round will take place. Reservations will not be applied in this round. A second special round will take place within a week, in which ATKT (Allowed To Keep Terms) students who have failed in one subject can also participate. After this round, classes for class 11 will commence.

In case some students do not get admission even after the second special round, Daily Merit Rounds will be held. A circular for the same will be released if need be.
