Lady Gaga fans can now rejoice as the pop diva is all set to perform in Greater Noida on October 30. With the opening of an extravagant lounge at the Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort,Greater Noida,the LAP Buddh Circuit after-parties promise to be high on glamour. While international DJ Roger Sanchez will kickstart the festivities,renowned DJ Edward Maya will perform on Day 2. The last day will have Tom Novy perform before Lady Gaga. The Fame Monster and Born This Way star will entertain guests at the closing party and will be undoubtedly the highlight of the three-day festivities. Playing hosts will be actor Arjun Rampal,restaurateur AD Singh,and Sameer Gaur,MD,Jaypee Sports International. Rampal noted how the parties will be special; especially thanks to Lady Gaga. “Lets show the world how we party. Its a great feeling to get an icon like her to perform at our lounge for a special event like this. She is very excited to come to India and to perform here,” he said. Not surprisingly,the price tag for the gigs is a heavy one. While the box tables for eight people costs R 8 lakh on October 28 and 29,it is R 10 lakh on October 30,the grand stand tables (for four to eight people) cost between R 3-6 lakh on the first two days and R 5-8 lakh on the last day. Walk-ins,on the other hand,cost 30,000 on the first two days and a walk-in for the Lady Gaga performance will set you back by a cool R 40,000. From lasermen to arial and pole dancers,this will be one gala show.

This Sunday,brace yourself for some disturbing revelations about one of the world’s most favourite addictions. The Dark Side of Chocolate,directed by Danish journalist and producer,Miki Mistrati,and award-winning human rights educator,filmmaker and photographer,U Roberto Romano,is a documentary that lays bare the unpleasant reality that transpires in cocoa plantations. There will be talk of child exploitation,slavery and environmental degradation. The session will be followed by a discussion moderated by Ajit Tawde,ex-GM of Cadburys,who will also answer questions and share his experiences. The event will start at 10:00 am at Grubshup,Law College road,and is a part of the ‘Food With a View’ series the restaurant has started with Black Swan. Also,catch the screening of a documentary titled 365 Without 377,by film maker Adele Tulli. The director,based in Rome,tries to tell the story of a journey towards freedom. Imposed under the British colonial rule in 1860,Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code criminalised any sexual acts between consenting adults of the same sex,stigmatising them as against the order of nature. The documentary will be screened tomorrow at Swig, between 7pm and 9 pm.
