Even as the BJP and Shiv Sena are set to declare their seat-sharing arrangement next week, the city BJP unit here has outlined its agenda for the Assembly elections.

The party is laying stress on better traffic system, adequate water supply, river improvement project and faster implementation of the slum rehabilitation scheme.

While the state BJP has declared “bijli, sadak and pani” as the campaigning issues, city BJP chief Girish Bapat said they would focus on metro project and distribution of water from Bhama Askhed dam to the outskirts like Yerwada and Wadgaonsheri areas rather than just have Khadakwasla dam water for the entire city. “The development plan that has been pending for the last 20 years and the slum rehabilitation scheme are part of our agenda,” said Bapat.
