An unofficial e-mail that claimed that question paper of third-year engineering was leaked has become a matter of discussion in University of Pune’s (UoP) academic circle. The varsity was forced to come up with another question paper on Monday, which delayed the exam by over an hour.

The university authorities could not trace the sender of the mail till Tuesday evening. To implement its latest reform, the university had started online dispatch of question papers.

“Though the authenticity of e-mail could not be verified,we decided not to take chances and dispatched new question paper. More than 40,000 students appeared for the examination. We are trying to trace the sender of the e-mail,” said authorities.

Meanwhile,UoP Vice-Chancellor Wasudeo Gade said a special CD containing question papers will be sent to colleges besides dispatching question papers online. “The CD will be password protected and colleges will be asked to access it if any technical error takes place while despatching question papers online,” he said.
