The essence of Mathematics is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple. It was with this aim that the students of RIMS International School & Junior College celebrated World Maths Day this month. The main objective of the event was to make the subject fun for all students; to help them develop their Mental Maths ability, encourage them to participate in Math-related activities and to drive away the fear of Math. A special assembly was conducted by the Math Club members and Word Math Day stickers were distributed to every student. Posters made by students were put up on the school boards. Math Club in-charges and members went to each class and conducted a Maths quiz. Random Mental Math questions were asked to students around the campus and candies were distributed to the winners.
