In a significant advancement for India’s health-tech innovation space, EasyTouch Plus – a device that monitors blood sugar non-invasively – has been awarded the Anjani Mashelkar Prize 2025.

Developed by Agatsa Software Pvt Ltd, the product was honoured at the 13th National Conference on Social Innovation hosted at the Pune International Centre on Monday. The award was presented by Siddharth Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Tata Trusts, and Dr R A Mashelkar, Chairman, Anjani Mashelkar Foundation.

Founders Rahul and Neha Rastogi received the award for developing EasyTouch Plus – a pocket-friendly device that offers indicative glucose trends in under 15 seconds, simply by placing a fingertip, without pricks, strips, or pain.

While eliminating pricks is a relief, EasyTouch Plus also proves remarkably affordable over time. Over the period of monitoring for an average diabetic person, EasyTouch Plus brings the effective cost down to just 25 paise per test – about 1/100th the cost of conventional monitoring – making lifelong diabetes care truly painless and affordable.

Rahul and Neha Rastogi had earlier won the Anjani Mashelkar Prize 2015 for their handheld ECG innovation, SanketLife, which evolved into a 12-lead portable ECG device with over 25,000 units sold across 12 countries. Since the launch of EasyTouch Plus in June 2025, over 12,000 devices have already been sold and are in active use across India.

“This technology represents what India needs in healthcare today – innovation that combines excellence, affordability, and ease of use. We are proud that innovators nurtured at the Anjani Mashelkar Foundation are not one-time but serial innovators, continuing to solve grand challenges. We look forward to supporting EasyTouch Plus as it scales for community healthcare,” Dr R A Mashelkar said.
