In an attempt to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving,Swatantra theater performed a street play in Lavasa city on June 15.

In an attempt to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving,Swatantra theater performed a street play in Lavasa city on June 15. Titled Daru Peeke Road Pey,the play highlighted the sense of false confidence and slowing down of reflexes of drunk drivers. After performing at Lavasa,the theater group will reach out to various colleges in the city. The play was directed by Abhijeet Choudhary and conceptualised by Dhanashree Heblikar.

Celebrate legendary composer RD Burmans 75th birth anniversary at Tilak Smarak Mandir on June 22. Pancham Smriti stage Swar Pancham Brass Special is a rock programme based on brass instrumentals that has been conceptualised by Prashant Divekar,with music arranged by Sachin Jambhekar. The event will begin at 9 pm.

Green Canvas

An exhibition of paintings by Dilip Mali,Mahesh Dixit and Suvarna Sabale was recently inaugurated at Darpan Art Gallery. This is my third exhibition on wood-note. I selected 13 works on the theme forest escape,which aims at spreading the message of a green and clean environment, says Mali. Pune-based painter and animator Dixit deals with human life,expressions and feelings,putting them into a semi-abstract art form.
