A lecture-cum-discussion on ‘Governance Deficit in India,Challenges Ahead’ will take place at D E Society’s Technical Institute Hall, near IMDR on July 31 at 11.30 am. Madhav Godbole,former Home Secretary,Government of India and president of the Centre for Advanced Strategic Studies will make a presentation on the subject. The lecture has been organised by the Centre for Advanced Strategic Studies.

Rakhi for jawans

Annual Rakhi collection for jawans organised city- based Sainik Mitra Parivar began at N M V Girls High school. Sainik Mitra Parivar has been undertaking this cause since 1998. The organisation,this year have tied up with 500 educational institutions,self-help groups and senior citizens’ groups for contributing to the cause. The organisation has appealed all those interested to send rakhis to Grahak Peth till July 25.
