Santosh Guddu Sakhare,23,a D Ed student earlier caught copying during an exam,attempted suicide Friday near the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE) building. MSCE staff handed him over to the police. Mahavir Mane,an office-bearer at Govindrao Patil Education College at Udgir,where Sakhare is a student,lodged a police complaint. Police said Sakhare was caught copying by the MSCE flying squad. On learning that he would not allowed to appear for the next two attempts,Sakhare threatened to commit suicide in a note to the MSCE deputy commissioner on Thursday.
