At the launch of Indias first interactive movie channel by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) on Tuesday,the network announced its campaign to create Indias first crowdsourced film,which will be made in under forty eight hours. The campaign will see the films story being shaped by inputs from netizens that were collected via Twitter and Facebook on August 7 and 8,and the film will be released on YouTube on August 12.
All aspects of the film right from its name to the cast and the storyline will be decided by people from across the world who can contribute their story ideas at andpictures.in. A team will aggregate the best ideas from the micro-site where users can log in and view the progress of the story while watching the entries being sent in real time.
The film will then be shot by The Viral Fever,who will put it up on their YouTube channel. Bharat Ranga,ZEEL Chief Content & Creative Officer,said that this is an apt beginning for their channel that is slated to go on air on August 18 and it will continue to interact with its audiences through similar strategies.
