Reacting to Sena allegations that MNS was working at the behest of the Congress to divide Marathi votes,Congress leader and Industries Minister Narayan Rane has said there was no need for the Congress-NCP to give supari to MNS as it would win on its own.
Rane was talking to the media after a rally in support of Congress Parvati candidate Ramesh Bagwe.
There is no need for Congress to give supari to MNS,as they would anyway open their account in the polls this year. Instead of supari,we would offer paan to Raj,” Rane said.
Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray had alleged that MNS was acting at the behest of Congress. This had led MNS chief Raj Thackeray to retort that he had not opened a pan-shop to accept supari (contract).
