Pune Rural Police Superintendent Sandeep Karnik has appealed the eyewitnesses of the Maval agitation to pass on information,photographs,video clips and also complaints about the incident to the police for investigation.

Pune Rural Police Superintendent Sandeep Karnik has appealed the eyewitnesses of the Maval agitation to pass on information,photographs,video clips and also complaints about the incident to the police for investigation.

Three persons were killed and several others were injured in police firing during at the agitation at Pune–Mumbai Expressway,called by BJP-Shiv Sena-RPI and Bharat Kisan Sangh on Tuesday to protest against the closed pipeline project initiated by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.

In a press release issued by Pune rural police today,it was stated that over 400 vehicles may have been damaged due to the rasta roko,stone pelting and rioting by agitators. Many persons including vehicles drivers/ owners,passengers and citizens may have been injured during the agitation.

So any of these persons having any information,photographs,video clips about the agitation are appealed to share it with the Pune rural police. Citizens can contact the police in person or pass on the information or complaints about the agitation by post,email or fax,said Karnik.
