Building bridges
Paresh Mokashi,director of Marathi film Harischandrachi Factory interacted with the students of Indira Institute of Management during a programme named – Setu. The objective of the event was to explore and bring to forth possibility of building a bridge between academia and industry. ‘For success,follow the inner voice of the mind and work,said Mokashi,while addressing the students. A panel discussion on entrepreneurship was also organised.
Training programme
A one-week national level short-term training programme on ‘Embedded System Design’ was held from February 8 to 12 at Sinhagad Academy of Engineering,Kondhwa. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Naik G M,chairman,University of Goa. The main objective of the event was to generate a platform for discussion and generation of research ideas in the field of electronics,automobile and medicine. Participants from all over India belonging to academic research centres and industries gathered for this workshop.
Security bell
Jalinder Supekar,DCP Zone 4 along with M R Pawar,ACP Wanowrie,and Inspector Gaykar paid a visit to the Rims International School at Kondhwa. The officers addressed the students and guided them about the precautionary measures they should take for their personal security and thus complete their role as responsible citizens of society. Supekar also had a talk with director of the school,Museeb Rais and said that installation of security system like CCTV cameras will facilitate polices job in keeping the city safe. He pointed out that security of students post school hours is also a concern.
Gold-en moment
Dhananjay Thakare was awarded gold medal recently for he stood first on M Sc Hotel and Tourism Management (HTM) examination conducted by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU). The award was given away by Narendra Jadhav,member,planning commission,New Delhi.
