Cognizant defeat Capgemini,win Cybage T20 Cup

Cognizant won the Cybage Inter-IT T20 Cup,inching past Capgemini by 2 runs in a closely fought contest here.

After winning the toss and electing to bat,Cognizant posted a total of 146 runs on the board for Capgemini to chase down.

It was the tailenders who contributed considerably to the total; with a 9th wicket partnership between Nitin More and Sahil Dua generating 40 runs off just 28 balls.

Capgemini nearly overhauled the target but were unfortunate to run out of overs with two runs to spare.

Utkarsh Tiwari of Cognizant captured three wickets,while his teammate Digvijay Sharma,who was adjudged the Man of the Match,bagged two.

Cognizant bowler Gaurav Chutani won the award for best bowler of the tournament,while the best batsman award went to Geet Desai of Sungard.

The man of the series award went to Pushkar Ogale of Tech Mahindra,said a press note.
