Poona Sangeetha Sabha is organising a concert today at Nehru Memorial Hall,5.15 pm onwards. Nithyashree Mahadevan,a Carnatic vocalist and the grand-daughter of DK Pattammal,and mridangam maestro Palghat Mani Iyer will perform at the event. They will be accompanied by Parur M A Krishnaswamy on the violin,Guru Raghavendra on the mridangam and Trichy Krishna Swami on the ghatam.

Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh,Aftab Shivdasani,Bruna Abdulla,Kainaat Arora,Manjeeri Phadnis,Sonali Kulkarni and Karishma Tanna were in the city on Friday to promote their new film,Grand Masti. They interacted with fans at Flambos Tavern,Balewadi. Directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria,it is a sequel to the 2004 film,Masti. The new film is pitched as an adult comedy about three friends who meet at their college reunion and what follows. Kulkarni said,Since we share the Marathi connection,it was actually fun working with Riteish and playing his wife.
