In order to increase the efficiency of its staff,the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has undertaken a Training Need Analysis exercise to determine the needs for respective posts, and also methods to inculcate that for improved performance.
The PMC has appointed Sirmount Training institute to hold first workshop to ascertain the required skills of its staff. Accordingly,the first workshop was held on Monday.
The analysis of job responsibility of each employee as per the department requirements is being studied. The exercise will continue till April 15 where 40 employees of four departments each would be given guidance everyday along with getting a questionnaire filled for details to design the training program.
Deputy Municipal Commissioner K C Karkar said it was necessary for analysing responsibility of each employee and accordingly upgrade their skills,and knowledge to improve performance. From January 26,the civic body has started implementing the Citizens Charter for providing time-bound service and process Manual for civic staff to perform their duties.
