SEED Infotech honoured with MACCIA Award

Pune-based SEED Infotech Ltd was recently honoured with MACCIA Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship for 2013 in IT and ITES category for its outstanding contribution to the state. The Award was presented to Narendra Barhate,Managing Director & CEO,SEED Infotech by Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar at a function held in Mumbai.

Plantation drive in Lonavala

Tata Power under its Samrudhi Programme conducted a fruit sapling plantation drive in the Kundli-Shirwata catchment area in Lonavala recently. The objective of the programme was to educate villagers on the benefits of sustainable agriculture,said a release. Over 1,500 saplings were distributed to the members of the Self Help Groups (SHG) over a two-day programme. As many as 334 members from 29 different SHGs across 9 villages of Kundli-Shirwata catchment benefitted from the initiative.

Joshi Hospital inaugurated

An advanced and well-equipped Joshi Hospital situated on the premises of DSK Vishwa was inaugurated by actors Ramesh and Seema Deo in the city on Saturday. The hospital is equipped with all the emergency facilities including operation theater,ICU,labour room,ambulance,medical store etc. Apart from the OPD,the hospital will provide expert services in dentistry,orthopaedics,obstetrics,gynecology etc. Blood-urine and other routine tests will also be done under one roof. The hospital will conduct free medical camps in future,said a release.
